What awaits you?
- Assist in the daily operation of the metrology laboratory, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Support the calibration of measurement instruments and equipment according to internal and industry standards.
- Collect, record and document test and measurement data accurately, ensuring full traceability.
- Collaborate with colleagues to build metrology know-how and continuously improve measurement and calibration practices.
- Support the preparation of reports, documentation and presentations based on test and calibration results for internal stakeholders (e.g. Quality, Production, Methods).
- Maintain laboratory equipment (routine cleaning, basic calibration checks and minor repairs) to ensure availability and reliability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities in measurement processes, documentation and lab organization.
- Support innovation and process improvements by ensuring that measurement results are reliable and usable for problem-solving and optimization.
- Interact mainly with the Quality department for reporting and alignment of measurement requirements.
- Act as a reference point in the laboratory for measurement-related questions and support cross-functional teams with metrology expertise.
What should you bring along?
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline, complemented by relevant practical experience.
- 4+ years of work experience in the automotive or other manufacturing industry.
- Relevant certifications in metrology or calibration are a plus (not mandatory).
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team and with cross-functional partners.
- Ability to work independently, in a structured and detail-oriented manner.
- Capability to lead functional teams when required (no disciplinary responsibility).
- Fluency in English.
