As a Section Manager in the Paint Shop at BMW Group Plant Debrecen, you play a key role in ensuring that the components meet perfect quality standards through meticulous preparation, processing, and component quality assurance.
What awaits you?
- Work Environment − highly automated paint shop area with multiple robotic systems. The role is partly office-based and partly shop floor-based, ensuring direct involvement in daily production.
- Team & Collaboration− leading, coaching and developing a team of approxiamtely 100 technical and manual working associates.
- Operational Responsibilities− you are accountable for production volume, quality, and cost performance. You ensure all processes follow legal and internal standards, including safety, environmental protection, cleanliness, and ergonomics.
- Problem Solving & Improvement− you support root-cause analysis, structured problem-solving, and continuous improvement activities. You help resolve equipment issues, process deviations, and quality concerns.
- Production Support− you coordinate special activities such as weekend work and shutdowns, and take part in planning technical changes, new equipment, and process optimizations.
- Data-Driven Work− you promote the use of real-time data to improve transparency and support informed decision-making.
What should you bring along?
- Education − Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Technical Chemistry, or similar. Experience in coating-related production is an advantage.
- Experience − minimum 5 years of experience in industrial production or similar positions in the Automotive Industry, specifically in the production area, Paint Shop, or other highly automated production areas.
- Skills − strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Languages – Hungarian and English proficiency required; German is an advantage.
- Mobility − willingness to travel and occasionally participate in an international BMW training program.
