






IT Infrastructure Engineer Intern (Spring 2026)

Description:
- Digital Workspace Americas seeks to obtain an intern to join us as we support the End Devices (laptops, cell phones, printers, digital office spaces etc.) required for the Americas.
Within Digitial Workspace the AV Americas team supports a wide range of technical services that are essential to the seamless operations of meetings, events, and hybrid collaboration. As demand continues to increase for high-quality AV support, the selected and qulaified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
- Digitalizing our A/V communication processes, creation of how-to-guides and videos and gain hands on experience with the latest technology offerings from Logitech, Maxhub, HP and others - while working in the only BMW Group A/V Lab.
- Bring fresh perspectives and identify inefficiencies in our current workflows, processes, and deployed solutions (bring the view of the customer).
- Assist with inventory management and maintenance tasks; complex troubleshooting of Microsoft Teams Rooms issues.
- Willingness to learn about BMW Surface Hub and video streaming installations.
- Key participant of the creation of regional standards.
Process and Solution Automation of Asset Management pipelines.
- Automation of Manual Financial Processes.
- Creation of confluence spaces, Jira and Qlikview dashboards.
- Leveraging Agile Working Models to assist with project discovery and estimations.
- Assist with process innovations and management of our devices (incl. mobile phones, laptops, Apple products etc.)
- Assist with the testing of the latest conference room technologies from vendors like LogiTech, Microsoft, Yealink, Cisco, ScreenBeam.
- Development of the applications to correctly track all assets on our technology labs.
- Automation of manual processes throughout Workspace Management
- Creation of the necessary material for the proper training of our devices (handouts, videos etc.)
- Operational Efficiency: Asset Management Process Improvement.
- Digital Office Collaboration Space Improvements. Comparison of leading technologies and fit to BMW.
Qualifications:
- Communication Skills
- IT Engineering Focus
- Technical Writing Skills
- RPA Awareness
- Scrum Methodology
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
- Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
- MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
