As Indirect Purchasing Trainee will manage the purchasing of materials and indirect services across various departments, including Supply Purchasing, Training Centers, and Sales. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring compliance with the BMW Group Purchasing Policy while driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness. What awaits you?
- Collaborate with various areas to fulfill the BMW Group Purchasing Policy and business objectives.
- Review and validate terms and conditions during the drafting of legal contracts, keeping framework agreements updated.
- Identify and select competitive suppliers, negotiating the best commercial terms for each area.
- Oversee the performance of current suppliers and develop new ones, enforcing guarantees and penalties as necessary.
- Administer the procurement module in SAP, including the creation of purchase orders and evaluation of bids.
- Gather quotes from suppliers to meet specific needs and create comparison charts.
- Maintain communication with central management and the region to ensure adherence to BMW quality standards.
What should you bring along?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience maximum in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Proven track record in supplier management and contract negotiation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as SAP, DIVA, and Coupa.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish language.
