Position Summary:
The Associate Technician performs basic mechanical inspections, repairs, and pre-delivery processing tasks on new BMW vehicles at the Vehicle Distribution Center (VDC). This entry-level position serves as a foundational role within the technical team, supporting the final preparation of vehicles prior to dealership delivery.
WHAT AWAITS YOU.
- Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new vehicles per BMW guidelines
- Complete software uploads, module initialization, and diagnostic scans using BMW equipment
- Document work accurately using electronic systems and inspection forms
- Support campaign and retrofit installations under supervision (e.g., accessories, recalls)
- Ensure vehicles meet BMW quality and safety standards before release
- Collaborate with senior technicians and team leads for troubleshooting and guidance
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Vocational/specialist training in automotive technical field, preferred
- ASE certifications, preferred
- BMW Technical Associate Level Certification, preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
This position requires lifting and carrying up to 50 lb., driving, pulling, kneeling, reaching, standing, twisting, walking, climbing, pushing, squatting, hearing, reading, writing, and exposure to variations in temperature and high noise.

The Associate Technician role provides foundational experience and hands-on training with BMW systems. With demonstrated performance, technicians can grow into Certified Technician, Master Technician, or specialized technical roles within BMW NA’s service or distribution network.

The expected hourly rate for this position is $20.00 - $32.00.
