






Paint Shop Quality Co-op (Spring 2026)

From the beginning, students are entrusted with specific responsibilities, ensuring they play a significant role in their learning journey. The qualified intern/Co-op should expect to contribute and improve in the following functions:
- Leads projects using root cause investigation through data collection and trend analysis.
- Drives Paint Shop quality systems and process improvements with Production area teams.
- Supports Problem solving and area quality engineers with tasks on open projects.
- Gather defect data and use logical analysis approach to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
- Performs data collection for quality assessment in designated Production areas.
- Analyzes quality data and creates trend and control charts (Microsoft Excel / Minitab).
- Generates Quality reports and participates in Technology meeting rounds.
- Implements and monitors containment and problem solving activities with our team of Quality Engineers.
- Assists Paint IT Specialists with database development and improvements, gathering computer station information and various data tracking.
- Participates in cross-functional teams to help with problem solving with colleagues in Body Shop, Assembly, Engineering, Launch and / or Laboratory groups.
- Develop visual feedback tools to deliver quality status and direction to Production areas (visual aids, additional work instructions, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
- Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
- MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
- THE WORK TERM DATES ARE January 12th – May 15th, 2026.
- Must be an enrolled student during all three rotations.
