Intern, Industrial Design - Summer/Fall 2025

WHAT AWAITS YOU.

• The Industrial Design Intern will assist the Industrial Design team in participating as a content creating project team member on external client projects and internal initiative projects
• The intern will work with different brands and industries within the frame of the internship while gaining exposure to a world class multi-disciplinary creative team
• Support the Industrial Design team with contextual research for variety of client projects
• Support the Industrial Design team with design proposals for variety of client projects
• Support LA studio in internal initiatives across departments
• Support the visualization team in creating internal and external presentations

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING.

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university 
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
• Have completed at least 60 college credits or be at least a rising Junior
• Field of study: Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or other related field 
• Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript
• Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week)
• Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only)
• Strong 2D and 3D visual communication skills (sketching, rendering, modeling etc. Proficient in Adobe suite)
• Working knowledge of 3D modelling and rendering softwear (Solidworks, Rhino, Blender, Keyshot, etc.)
• Good verbal and written presentation skills, proficient in MS Suite (Power Point)
• Preferences: Experience with AI tools is a plus (Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, Runway, etc..)

This is a full-time internship position for our Summer/Fall Rotation, from July 14, 2025 through December 12, 2025 in Santa Monica, CA.

The hourly rate for Undergraduate students is $25.30

The hourly rate for Graduate students is $32.20

The selected student's academic level will be used to determine the final pay rate. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.
