Exceptional premium products can only be produced using perfectly maintained, highly automated systems and innovative technologies. To ensure our production continues to operate smoothly, we are looking for Maintenance Technicians for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Goodwood.
Our exterior surface centre is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure compliance with legal maintenance requirements and safe working practices. The technician will be responsible for promptly addressing and repairing production equipment issues to maintain manufacturing operations and meet KPIs.
What Awaits You:
- Carry out all planned maintenance, PM tasks, checks, and measurements as required.
- Identify failures and contribute to continuous improvement in your department.
- Follow up on automated recordings, trend analyses, and incidental effects.
- Effectively escalate additional support requirements during breakdowns.
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude in identifying and resolving issues.
- Use initiative to actively engage in facility improvement to enhance technical availability.
- Demonstrate a willingness to train and support all team members.
What You Should Bring Along:
- A technical qualification at the level of NVQ 3 or equivalent.
- Ability to act on your own initiative, proactively, and work independently.
- An active team player with good communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of control systems, automation equipment, robotics (e.g., ABB), drive technology (e.g., Siemens), camera systems (e.g., Cognex), network technology, fieldbus technology, control cabinet construction (e.g., EPLAN), and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of maintenance systems (e.g., Smart Maintenance, SAP).
- Specific skills and knowledge will be captured on the local training matrix.
Please note this position involves working the night shift; however, you will be working core day hours before transitioning to the night shift. Night shift hours are as follows: 20:30hrs - 06:00hrs, 45 hrs per week.
