What awaits you?
• Supporting the BMW SLP Tax & Customs Director and CFOs.
• Responsible for all tax compliance and advisory issues for the BMW MX entities.
• Managing day-to-day tax processes to ensure compliance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Implementing BMW's international tax policies and projects in the Mexico market.
• Preparing and reviewing indirect tax returns, and updating procedural controls.
• Proactively monitoring tax law changes in Mexico and assessing their impact.
• Collaborating with operational teams to ensure timely and accurate data for tax returns.
• Conducting in-house tax reviews and implementing corrective actions to improve compliance and reduce tax risk.
• Identifying opportunities to reduce tax costs.
• Implementing tax projects along with the International Tax department at the headquarters.
• Ensuring up-to-date documentation for indirect taxes.
• Leading communication and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders.
• Representing BMW's interests at local authorities and industry working groups.
• Providing regular reporting to local CFOs and direct management.
What should you bring along?
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Law, Business, or Accounting, with a Master's degree being an advantage.
• Senior-level tax experience, preferably within a multinational company or consulting firm, with at least 6 years of professional experience.
• Depth knowledge in Mexican indirect taxes.
• Additional extensive knowledge and experience in accounting.
• Extensive project experience in supporting, initiating, and leading projects.
• Cross-cultural experience and appreciation.
• Strong teamwork and tactful assertiveness skills.
• Ability to maintain relationships with senior tax and customs officials.
• Skilled in managing relationships with external advisors.
• Proficient in team management and collaboration.
• Fluent written and spoken business English required.
