This is a full-time internship position for our Spring Rotation, from January 13, 2025 through May 16, 2025 in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.
The Purchasing team is a regional team that supports the US and Canada for multiple BMW Group entities.
Key Responsibilities:
The intern will support the purchasing team in various purchasing projects. Some of the responsibilities are to support buyers with market screenings, pre-selection of bidders, creation of RFP (Request for Proposal), analysis of proposals, and negotiations. The intern will work independently on smaller purchasing projects. As well as, supporting and assisting in further development of purchasing processes, tools, systems, and guidelines.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university
Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of application
Field of study: Finance, Business Administration or other related fields
Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript
Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week)
Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only)
Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, and PowerPoint
Analytical, structured, and good communication skills
Preferences:
English (fluent, oral, and written), German beneficial
Experience using AI Apps and Power BI
Experience with SAP and Coupa

The hourly rate for Undergraduate students is $25.30
The hourly rate for Graduate students is $32.20
