Network Planning Manager
The Network Planning Manager role sits within the Network Development department and supports the short to long strategy development of the BMW Group UK Retailer Network. The role is responsible for the ongoing network planning for the Sales and Aftersales Retailer businesses of BMW Group UK. This is achieved by combining retailer performance and financial analysis with geo-demographic (location & population data) profiling to provide insight and support recommendations on the structure and location of all future business changes.
What awaits you?
- Network planning for volume, type and location of retailers and owners. This includes future network strategies, analysis and research including location and Retailer AOI (area of influence) change management.
- Primary user for the network analysis tool and key contact for the tool’s supplier. AOI work carried out involves close contact with BMW and MINI Sales General Managers, Area Managers and Analysis teams.
- Management of holistic ‘360 degree’ performance management data consolidation including KPI dashboard development and maintenance with a focus on simplification and automation of data provision and reporting.
- Management of the BMW and MINI Retailer of the Year award schemes. This involves definition of the scheme, compilation of performance, provision of regular status updates and strong collaboration with the Events team the award events.
- Management and leadership of periodic strategic review of owner and outlet performance to provide guidance to the Management Committee on future network partners / locations – this includes performing a 5-yearly network study. All performed to prepare the organisation for the 5-yearly contract renewal process.
- Coordination of activities required to ensure changes of retailer ownership / closures / openings have minimum operational impact.
- Review, evaluate and where appropriate implement new technologies and new solutions that support network planning and network review.
What should you bring along?
- Graduate level ideally with professional accountancy / statistical / analytical qualification.
- Proven commercial experience within a retailer environment or manufacturer experience in a retailer facing role
- High standard of communication skills.
- Experience of analysing data, planning and forecasting
- Expert level knowledge of data management and data manipulation.
- Ideally, sound knowledge of current BMW and MINI retailer systems would be an advantage.
