We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the area of process optimization in passive safety. We develop tools and techniques that leverage the use of crash simulation models in virtual vehicle development. This process optimization allows us to redefine the future of virtualization.
What awaits you?
- You will learn, analyze and understand the Pre-Processing tool ANSA.
- Assess the current process chain for the FEM Process.
- Work on a pilot project to explore the possibility to improve the current methods.
- Achieve a significant milestone by evaluating the implemented approach.
- Case study analysis along with documentation of the findings.
What should you bring along?
- Master studies in computation mechanics, mechanical engineering, physics, or a comparable studies program.
- Strong knowledge of numerical simulation methods, nonlinear FEM, and probabilistic.
- Strong programming skills, preferably Python.
- Eagerness to expand your knowledge in the area of passive safety and process management.
- Fluent English, German is advantageous.
- Team- and communication skills.
