Assembly Co-op (Spring 2025)

Description
Explore and understand how a production facility operates, specifically focused on the assembly operations. Develop an understanding of the manufacturing and support roles, systems available, and resources which support the production system. Champion innovative projects which will create a real impact to the department goals and initiatives.
Assignment Duties and possible projects
- Takes the initiative to guide and collaborate with production and support roles in addressing any issues that may have a negative impact on process or product quality.
- Shows initiative on exploring personal interests which will have a positive, value-added impact to the business.
- Makes sound tactical decisions to resolve urgent matters and manages cross-functional teams in problem-solving and prevention efforts.
- Demonstrates strategic management skills in anticipating and managing changes to ensure smooth operations.
- Consistently achieves department goals and drives continuous improvement across all measurable areas.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree (preferably industrial or mechanical)
- Microsoft Excel (experience with VLookup, Macros, etc. preferred)
- Detail-oriented.
- Organized.
- Effective communication skills.
- AutoCAD Inventor (preferred)
- 3D Printer (preferred)
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
- Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
- Able to complete 3 work terms for Co-op positions.
- Able to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
- MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
