Vehicle Distribution Operations Entry (TX-17)

Description

• Maintains report management, vehicle export planning, aged inventory,
  and special vehicle handling for distribution internal/external process
  to support on-time delivery.
• Performs as a key system user for
  operations used for vehicle distribution.
• Provides support for quality
  campaigns and preventive risk implementation for vehicle distribution
  processes.
• Performs as key user for operation systems and equipment used by Vehicle
  Distribution (VDS, Tableau, Mainframe, BMW Info, Splunk, Zebra Scanner,
  etc.) including IT interface.
• Performs export vehicle operations management (load planning,
  consignment management, dwell time monitoring, vessel allocation) to
  support on-time delivery of inventory on site.
• Performs special vehicle handling operations (Brian Thomas Delivery,
  Airfreight, Self-Drive, Dealer Pick-Up) interface with Sales, Complete
  Vehicle Analysis, Assembly Test/Rework/Finish, Customs/Compliance.
• Performs daily operation report management (entry/exit, distribution
  overview, distribution forecast planning, port inventory).
  Contributes as local counterpart and to provide support for technical
  quality campaign management for all vehicles from F2 until port of
  departure.
• Provides support with preventive risk management and emergency plan for
  the local and Port of Departures in accordance with the BMW Natural
  Hazard Preparedness Plan.
• Evaluates Daily Vehicle Distribution Aged Inventory Management (Daily
  Releases, Carrier Inventory Monitoring) interface with Sales.
• Understands and maintains adherence of VPS (Value Added Production
  System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
• Maintains and adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
  Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. OR

         AA/AS degree in a technical of business field AND 2 years of related experience in business or engineering. OR             the equivalent of 4 years of experience in business or engineering.

• 1+ years of related business experience OR 6 months participation in a co-op/internship in business, engineering, or a related function.

• 6 months+ of project/team leadership experience.
• 1+ years of written and verbal communication skills.
• 1+ years of problem solving, organizational and prioritization skills.
• 1+ years of MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
