BMW UK, National Sales Centre, Farnborough – Sales Steering and Planning Intern - 13 Month Placement (July 2026)
The Sales Steering and Planning team are responsible to plan, steer and optimise UK sales results (volume & profit) both current and future for BMW UK. Responsible for creating market, segment and competitor forecasting to guide BMW UK volume aspirations and calendarisation. Relying on close working relationships with Sales Channel owners, Finance and Marketing to identify opportunities and risks plus increased levels of granular optimisation at volume, product, channel, mix and discount terms levels
What awaits you:
- Involved in managing the weekly forecast process by collating all the data from channel owners.
- Support the Channel Planning manager with weekly availability and technical hold reporting.
- Creation of monthly sales steering reports including competitor forecasts and run-rate reports.
- Work closely with the Production Planning and Ordering team to support during peak periods in the month.
Qualifications and experience:
- Studying towards a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree - preferably in Business, Economics or another relevant field.
- Strong relationship building skills and ability to show good inter-personal skills, showing exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational and time management skills, and ability to show high attention to detail to every task.
- Ability to adapt working approach depending on specific requirements, prioritise activities, work under pressure, multi-task and solve problems.
- An excellent team player who possesses solid interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Experienced user of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
