BMW, National Sales Company, Farnborough - Corporate Communications - 13 Month Placement (July 2026)


The Corporate Communications department is responsible for protecting, building and promoting the image of the BMW Group and its products in the UK - this involves working with a broad range of media and others who influence public opinion. The team is responsible for product (BMW and MINI) communications in the UK, which includes organising vehicle loans and events to promote our newest vehicles to a broad range of media.


What awaits you?

  • Support press fleet management: book vehicle loans, coordinate with journalists and internal/external teams to ensure accurate collection, delivery, and car preparation.
  • Create and maintain vehicle specification sheets to ensure up-to-date, accurate information.
  • Assist with event organization: plan and execute events, from logistics to on-site coordination.
  • Manage international and national press launches: guest management, logistics planning, and delivering event assets (printed and digital media).
  • Handle operational administration: maintain contact databases, obtain supplier quotes, and raise purchase orders.
  • Liaise with media as needed: assist with media enquiries, collaborate with the PR team, respond to journalist emails, share press resources, compile summaries of recent coverage for internal and network contacts, and keep the internal reporting database and image library fully updated.


What should you bring along?

  • Studying towards a Bachelor’s degree with a predicted grade of 2:1 or higher, preferably in PR, Business, or Marketing.
  • Relevant work experience showing genuine interest in communications, PR, or event management; short stints (e.g., two weeks in a PR agency, managing social media, or editing a school site) are valuable.
  • Demonstrates initiative and drive; if studying a communications-related degree (not required), share more than just your course title.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing, with consistent, reliable attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
