As an Intern within the Financial Services application team, you will initially focus in the first 1 month familiarising yourself with the Financial Services business and the processes and IT services of the department.
Upon completion of your induction, you will work in a team and assume responsibility for specific assignments in the department including support, maintenance, and delivery of projects across a complex and large-scale IT landscape serving the UK and Ireland Financial Services Group business.

What awaits you?
As an IT Intern at BMW Financial Services, you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovation, change and operations across various IT activities providing services to the business including having responsibility for specific research, planning and implementation tasks under the guidance of senior team members.
These activities include for example:
- Supporting project portfolio and resource planning
- Working in teams analysing, developing, testing and implementing of IT solutions to satisfy the current and future needs of the business.
- Undertaking support and maintenance activities for business applications such as documentation, compliance, operational improvement and problem solving
- Setting up team and departmental events
- Getting involved in wider BMW Group IT initiatives driven from headquarters.
What should you bring along?
- To be eligible, you’ll be in your penultimate year at university and on course for a 2:1 degree. Studying a degree in Computer Science, IT or related course and on track to achieve a 2:2.
- Logical thinking, eager to expand knowledge and take a creative approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change.
- Enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions Comfortable with end user communication
