What awaits you?
- Exploring and developing the use of the wealth of data available using industry recognised techniques and tools such as data mining in SAS.
- Analysing and developing financial loss forecasting models and methodologies, calculating parameters and carrying out scenario testing.
- Involvement in the development of Retail application Credit Scorecards, large scale data manipulation techniques and exposure to the balance between statistical results and business requirements.
- Involvement in the development of vehicle value forecasting, including time-series analysis, regression techniques and system implementation.
- Integration of economic factors into existing statistical models, optimisation of the methodology and assessment of business impact.
- Involvement in implementation of statistical models into live systems and further monitoring of their performance, analysis of issues and potential for improvement.
What should you bring along?
- Studying toward a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and on track to achieve a 2:1 or above, for example Maths,Economics Business Studies, Finance.
- An active interest in the automotive market and understanding of vehicle manufacturers and models would be advantageous but not essential.
- High level of Excel skills essential, knowledge of SAS or Qliksense or other database software is desirable.
- Good working knowledge of other Microsoft Office products such as PowerPoint.
- Excellent levels of numeracy essential, above average focus on attention to detail.
- Part time work experience in customer service or business related environments is ideal.
- Experience leading and managing teams in university projects or in a volunteering capacity also beneficial.
- Self confidence in liaising with contacts at all levels proactively and diplomatically.
- Self-motivated and organised, able to prioritise, use your initiative and manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks. Excellent team player, offers support proactively.
