Are you a student with a passion for IT systems, software development, and agile methodologies? Do you want to gain hands-on experience in one of the world’s most renowned luxury automotive brands?
We are offering an exciting internship opportunity within the Quality Management & Production Control department at the Interior Surface Centre (ISC), where we craft and manufacture the iconic wood interiors of every Rolls-Royce – all produced in-house at our Goodwood plant.
You will be embedded in our CAQ (Computer Aided Quality) team, a dynamic group leading the development and maintenance of our in-house quality and production software. This system connects with core platforms like SAP and multiple other interfaces, playing a critical role in our day-to-day production operations.
What awaits you?
- Acting as a first-line contact for production IT issues and supporting resolution
- Supporting IT hardware maintenance and collaborating with the central IT department
- Writing process sheets and procedures to document software features and workflows
- Supporting agile issue refinement and sprint planning processes
- Assisting with allocation workflows and basic SQ2 (SQL-like) database reporting
- Supporting configuration changes and station setups across production areas
- Fixing and developing web reports and visualisations for the production environment
What should you bring along?
- A motivated student (placement year or similar) with a background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields
- Basic understanding of agile principles, SQL/database structures, and web development
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and an interest in how software supports real-world manufacturing
- Previous coursework or experience in IT systems, software development, or agile project work is a plus
