oPPORTUNITIES FOR aPPRENTICES.

The BMW Dual Apprentice Programme is an apprenticeship programme that partners with Debrecen Vocational Training Centre (DSZC) as Brassai Sámuel Technical Vocational School, Mechwart András Vocational School, and Beregszászi Pál Technical Vocational School. The program allows students in electrical and automation engineering, mechatronics, automotive mechatronics (systems and high-voltage technology) and information technology for systems integration to apply for apprenticeship at BMW Group Manufacturing Hungary Kft. as part of the vocational education.

This programme allows students to further their education while gaining valuable experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment with the potential of becoming candidates for full-time employment at BMW Manufacturing Hungary Kft. after successful completion.

Our partnering schools: Debrecen Vocational Training Centre (DSZC) as Brassai Sámuel Technical Vocational School, Mechwart András Vocational School and Beregszászi Pál Technical Vocational School offer the programmes and support you need to achieve your educational and career goals. They provide high-quality learning opportunities.

In September of 2023, the first class of the BMW Group Plant Debrecen apprentice education started in Debrecen. In the Training Centre, the first building of the BMW iFACTORY of Debrecen, the students can learn in 6500 m2 and after graduating from the apprenticeship, they will have to opportunity to build a career at a leading premium car and motorbike manufacturer. BMW started the first apprenticeship programme 100 years ago. The experiences collected from all these years are built into the training of the pupils, they can get first hand experiences with robotics, 3D printing and Industry 4.0. During the education, we put great emphasis on the soft-skill development.

The following years, every year, we will select 100 new students form our partner schools, and as a result, from the year 2025, 300 students will attend our apprentice training. During the seven-day selection process, first we’ll test the problem solving and logical abilities of the applicants, then, their dexterity and professional competences and finally, we have an informal conversation, to get them known personally.

Requirements.

Full time student status and commitment to attend school year round is required
Students must be enrolled in a degree related to one of the BMW Dual Apprentice programme tracks such as electronics, mechanical maintenance, automotive, IT at one of our three partner schools
Successful completion of the BMW pre-employment assessment is required

Locations available.

Our Scholar’s Programme is available at BMW Manufacturing Hungary Kft., Plant Debrecen in Debrecen (HU).

DUAL APPRENTICE PROGRAMMES.

THIS IS YOUR JOB.

For you, tinkering is more than a hobby and technology is your passion? Then you are exactly right with us as an electronics technician for automation technology (f/m/x). Electrical installations as well as the analysis of functional relationships and process flows of automated systems are also part of your field of activity such as installing and adjusting electrical or hydraulic drive systems. Your exciting field of activity will be completed by creating complex automation equipment and working with the 'customer' to whom the systems will be explained and handed over.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN WITH US.

To assemble, configure, programme, and adjust - the tasks on sensor and operating systems and networks are diverse. You will learn how to build metrological and control equipment and how to integrate created components into overall systems. In addition, you can service automation systems and learn to analyse and correct faults using software solutions.

THIS IS YOUR JOB.

In modern vehicles, nothing works without electrical and electronic components. Safety, driving comfort and steering – everything depends on these components. As an Automotive Mechatronics Technician (f/m/x), high-tech sounds great to you. You are well-informed about complex connections in high- voltage and system technology.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN WITH US.

The technology of high-voltage systems, i.e. hybrid and electric vehicles, is one of your core training contents. In addition, you will learn everything you need to know about fault diagnosis as well as the installation and maintenance of all vehicle electronics. Your successful completion of the training also includes the additional qualification of measuring and testing especially on these vehicles.

THIS IS YOUR JOB.

Numbers, technology and computers: three things that evoke excitement within you? Then you are exactly right with us as an IT specialist in the field of system integration (f/m/x). During the apprenticeship you plan, configure, supervise and manage IT systems. This also includes solving application and system problems and the safe handling of expert and diagnostic systems. The user’s needs are always in focus.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN WITH US.

During your training to become an IT specialist for system integration (f/m/x) you will learn to design and implement complex information technology systems through the integration of hardware and software components. You will take care of problems and malfunctions systematically and identify and fix them with the help of special diagnostic software. Also you will be at the forefront when it comes to users: you help with installing new systems and train users to the extent that they can work with them independently.

THIS IS YOUR JOB.

As a mechatronics technician (f/m/x) you ensure that we can produce “joy of driving” without delays and disruptions. Your tasks include precise maintenance, repair, optimising and recommissioning our systems.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN WITH US.

Our trainers provide you with comprehensive knowledge in the fields of electrics, pneumatics, hydraulics, joining technology and metalworking. You will learn everything about our high-tech systems step by step. In addition, you will learn how to manufacture new components for the systems, how to remove and install modules or how to adjust them correctly. The professional and systematic examination, maintenance and repair of the systems will also be part of your training.
