If you have a strong interest in science, maths or engineering, have an eye for precision and a desire to understand how things work, our range of technical apprenticeships are for you.
You’ll learn how we produce our exceptional vehicles as you gain experience with a wide range of state-of-the-art automotive production and manufacturing techniques as part of your four-year apprenticeship. The courses you cover will be influenced by the position you apply for, but you could learn about a range of exciting topics, from Robot Automation, Control Systems and Integrated Process Planning, to toolmaking skills such as milling and welding.

Now, as an Engineering Technician apprentice at MINI Plant Swindon, I can continue my education and study for my degree, while also gaining a valuable work experience from a world-renowned car manufacturer.
All my colleagues here at Oxford have been really welcoming and friendly, and everyone is keen to share and pass on whatever knowledge and expertise they can.
Networking with colleagues in the Oxford and Swindon plants, as well as those further away in Europe, has really improved my confidence and communication skills, something I always struggled with in school and college.
