With a BMW Group apprenticeship you’ll begin your career working alongside passionate people. We offer a range of apprenticeships at four sites across the UK, with the chance to take on real responsibility and learn from the best in the industry. Our apprenticeships last between two and four years, and training typically leads to an NVQ level three qualification – with some apprentices having the opportunity to progress right through to degree level. You’ll build up a network of professional contacts within the business and have the opportunity to develop your career in an exciting, rewarding industry.

Leather Manufacturing.

Walk in the footsteps of master artisans as you learn how to craft leather and deliver Rolls-Royce quality. As a Leather apprentice, you’ll be trained in the complete set of leatherwork skills from inspection, preparation and cutting, to sewing, covering and assembly work. You’ll be working within the Leather Shop and attending college on a part time basis. Over three years, you’ll achieve qualifications in Modern Manufacturing, together with accompanying technical qualifications in Leather. Typical location: Rolls-Royce Motor Cars - Chichester

Maintenance Technician.

Join us and you’ll have command of state of the art technology from robots to lasers. You’ll support the team responsible for the rapid detection, rectification and prevention of faults within our production system. As you learn from the best, you’ll gain practical experience in core engineering skills such as milling and turning, hand skills, electrical and electronic circuits. We’ll train you in the modern, automotive production technology, as well as the latest innovations in manufacturing techniques. Our core engineering training covers electronics, pneumatics, 3D modelling and printing, robotics, hydraulics, as well as general mechanical engineering. You’ll gain a Level 3 National Certificate, with the option of doing a Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) or a Foundation degree in engineering. Training takes place in our onsite apprentice training facility, MINIcademy at MINI Plant Oxford, or at BMW Group Plant Hams Hall and a local college. Tools

Control Technician.

Help develop the future of manufacturing as you work with emerging technologies within areas like robotics and automation. As you study our state of the art automotive production technology, you’ll gain hands-on experience of control systems, machining, fluid power, electronics and more. You’ll gain experience of the wider business as you take on placements within areas like vehicle launch planning, software integration and supplier liaison. In the first year of the apprenticeship you’ll learn practical core engineering skills in machining, electronics, welding, robotics, control systems and more, and you’ll be based at a local college. By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have completed a full honours degree in Control and Technical Support. Typical locations: MINI Plant Oxford, MINI Plant Swindon, BMW Group Plant Hams Hall, near Birmingham

Engineering

Engineering Technician.

Join us and help build the next generation of automotive products. Our vehicles are packed with the latest technology and you’ll discover how it all works, from robotics to controls systems, machining to fluid power, electronics and more. You’ll complete a number of placements within our business, from prototype vehicle testing to manufacturing process and facility planning, and supporting the UK MINI dealer network. In the first year of your apprenticeship, you’ll learn about the core engineering skills and training takes place at either our onsite apprentice training facility, MINIcademy at MINI Plant Oxford, or at Plant Swindon and a local college. By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have completed a degree in Control and Instrumentation Engineering. Typical locations: MINI Plant Oxford, MINI Plant Swindon

Technical Apprenticeship.

Learn how to bring the quality, style and performance of Rolls-Royce Motors Cars to life. This four-year apprenticeship offers the ideal starting point if you want to become a highly-skilled engineer. Our training will take you through the various areas of vehicle manufacturing, offering you the chance to gain hands-on experience of machining, fluid power, electronics, welding, robotics, controls systems and more. You’ll attend Chichester University part time, and spend time working with our Manufacturing teams on placement. By the end of the apprenticeship, you’ll earn a Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Typical location: Rolls-Royce Motor Cars - Chichester

Toolmaker technician

Toolmaker Technician

Discover how to put your precision skills to use in MINI Plant Swindon. As a Toolmaker apprentice, you’ll play a key role ensuring our vehicles meet the very highest standards. We’ll train you in state-of-the-art automotive production technology, as well as the latest innovations in manufacturing techniques, which are constantly developing in line with new, emerging technologies. This four-year apprenticeship will enable you to experience different aspects of engineering and production technology, before specialising. As well as hands-on experience with our expert teams, you’ll attend college on a part-time or block release basis. After four years, you’ll have a Level 3 Advanced Engineering certificate and the potential to move into a HNC or HND subject. Typical location: MINI Plant Swindon

Wood Manufacturing

Wood Manufacturing.

Use your passion for woodworking to learn how to craft the quality and style which Rolls-Royce Motor Cars are renowned for. As a Wood Shop and Lacquer apprentice, you’ll be introduced to the range of wood and lacquering operations involved in production of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. You’ll gain hands-on experience, learning from our expert teams, while also attending college on a part time basis. After three years, you’ll earn your Level 3 NVQ in Modern Manufacturing and have the option to continue to take it to the next level with a fourth year of training. Typical location: Rolls-Royce Motor Cars - Chichester

Business

Business/Management.

Set yourself on the path to becoming a future leader of our business. You’ll have the choice of joining departments like Logistics, Human Resources and Finance, amongst others. From the very start, you’ll get on-the-job training while you study at university. In the first two years, you’ll study for a foundation degree in Business Management and Communication. Then, based on your performance, you’ll have the chance to work towards a Bachelor’s degree in your third and final years. Typical locations: MINI Plant Oxford, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars - Chichester
