HOOK.

Life in Hook.

Hook is a large village in the Hart district of north east Hampshire with a population of almost 10,000 people, offering excellent access to the important M3 and M4 motorways. It is situated 6 miles from the nearest large town Basingstoke while another large town, Reading is just 14 miles away.

Close to Junction 5 of the M3 motorway, Hook is 41 miles from London in one direction and 36 miles to Southampton in the other direction.

The railway station in Hook is approximately one mile from the office (a 10-15minute walk) and offers direct rail links to both London Waterloo and Southampton, with indirect routes to Reading and Salisbury. Rail services from Hook are provided by South West Trains.

For the past 4 years in a row (2011-2014) the Hart district – which includes Hook and the nearby village of Hartley Wintney – has been recognised as the best place to live in the UK, according to the Halifax ‘Quality of Life’ survey.

There is a long military history around the area with the garrison town of Aldershot down the road and RAF Odiham - home to the RAF's Chinook helicopter squadron - a short flight away.

Bordered to the east by the picturesque valley of the River Whitewater, and to the south by two areas of common land – Hook Common and Bartley Heath - there is rich nature and wildlife to be enjoyed close by.

The BMW Group in the United Kingdom.

The BMW Group in the United Kingdom consists of marketing, sales and financial service organisations - as well as manufacturing plants for BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Three UK plants have a part to play in MINI production - BMW Group Plant Hams Hall manufactures engines, BMW Group Plant Swindon produces body pressings and sub-assemblies for MINI, and the parts come together at BMW Group Plant Oxford - where body shell production, paint and final assembly takes place. BMW Group Plant Oxford, therefore, is the heart of MINI production.

Also under BMW Group’s UK umbrella are BMW Financial Services in Farnborough and Dublin, the Rolls-Royce Manufacturing Plant in Goodwood, and Alphabet (GB) Limited - Europe’s leading provider of Business Mobility Services - located in Hook, Hampshire.

The manufacturing launch of MINI in April 2001 marked the start of a remarkable new phase in the history of the BMW Group. The very latest car production facilities were introduced in a £230 million investment programme for the new car range. Since 2000, around £1.75 billion has been invested in the group's UK manufacturing sites.

The United Kingdom is the only country where BMW Group is represented by production plants for all three of our premium brands.
