Description

We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied Internship in the area of Battery-Cell- test field and analysis of test data.

 

In our interdisciplinary team everything revolves around the testing and validation of next-generation battery cells as well as the establishment, operation and further development of the associated cell test field and its testing and analysis methods.

 

What awaits you?

  • You support the development team from setting up electrical battery tests to experiment monitoring and evaluation of the generated data.
  • In doing so, you will develop new, data-supported analysis methods with help of machine learning approaches.
  • You will independently supervise battery tests in the in-house test field. This includes starting tests, regular checks, and solving any problems that may arise.
  • You view and standardize test data for further processing and support the development of applications for evaluating battery tests.

 

What should you bring along?

  • Ongoing studies in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, physics, chemistry, or comparable qualification.
  • Basic knowledge of lithium-ion batteries and battery systems.
  • Initial experience in the field of machine learning.
  • A high degree of initiative and sense of responsibility.
  • Structured way of thinking and communicating as well as high ability to work in a team.
  • Good programming skills in Matlab and Python (NumPy, Pandas, Seaborn, Scikit Learn, PyTorch, etc.) as well as initial experience with relational databases.
