As part of the BMW Group IT, we support the data driven development of features for the next generation of our vehicles. We develop analytical capabilities for storage, processing and analysis of large amounts of data and build data products that are perceived to be just as high-class as our BMW vehicles themselves.
What awaits you?
You implement applications that help to analyze vehicle data.
Additionally, you collaborate closely with business units for vehicle development and external partners for continuous improvements.
You implement data pipelines to integrate data from various sources and ensure high data quality.
You design and develop software based on state-of-the-art technologies and on top of a large-scale data platform.
You implement components to support automatic labelling and analysis of heterogeneous data.
Furthermore, you get the opportunity to become an expert in engineering data applications.
What you should bring along?
University degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
At least 2 years of experience in technical software engineering / data engineering.
Professional experience with programming in Java, Scala or similar languages and common CI tools.
Experience working with large scale data processing frameworks, e.g., Spark and Hadoop.
Experience with public cloud offerings.
A strong interest in emerging technologies and their evaluation and adoption where it makes sense.
Business-fluent English and basic German language skills.
