Intern in passive Safety - Artificial Intelligence for Restraint Systems Development (f/m/d)
SOME IT WORKS. SOME CHANGES WHAT'S POSSIBLE.
SHARE YOUR PASSION.
More than 90% of automotive innovations are based on electronics and software. That's why creative freedom and lateral thinking are so important in the pursuit of truly novel solutions. That’s why our experts will treat you as part of the team from day one, encourage you to bring your own ideas to the table – and give you the opportunity to really show what you can do.
We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied Internship in the area of passive Safety - Artificial Intelligence for Restraint Systems Development.
Our team “Concepts Passive Safety, Frontal Protection, Restraint Systems” is developing computational methods and finite element simulations to improve the crashworthiness of vehicles by optimizing structural and restraint system components. We are offering a challenging internship with a variety of tasks to help our engineers in their daily work.
What awaits you?
- You are working in a diverse team of engineers, developers, and students.
- You will use finite element crash models to validate and optimize restraint systems.
- You will process the results of these simulations using programming languages.
- These simulation results must then be compared with hardware test data.
- Artificial intelligence should be utilized to approximate and accelerate results which enables further analysis.
What should you bring along?
- Student in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Mechanics, Mathematics, or a comparable course of studies.
- Knowledge of finite element analysis, e.g. working experience using LS-Dyna or Abaqus FEA, is an advantage.
- Skills in artificial intelligence are preferred.
- Experience in working with Python, MATLAB, or other programming languages.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
Are you enthusiastic about new technologies and an innovative environment? Apply now!
