What can you expect?

• Your tasks include, in the first step, establishing the appropriate processes related to metrology together with your assigned partner from the BMW network and supporting colleagues at plant Debrecen in order to be able to plan and execute the corresponding measurements for the respective vehicle build phases.
• You are responsible to ensuring that all necessary measurements capacities are available and that all relevant process partners are coordinated on site.
• You are responsible of the development of strategies for the further development of measuring technology and their implementation in the plants and therefore you are also a team member of the global metrology network over all BMW sites worldwide.
• You are in charge for conception/development and implementation of innovative methods, programs and tools for all measuring technology processes in plant Debrecen in alignment with the metrology network.
• You are responsible for measuring technology preparation and planning of implementation, steering of measuring activities and the  development of measurement concepts this includes the clarification of the CA database for target/actual comparison and preparation and conversion of model data for measurement tasks in the CAD system.
• You will be also in charge for independent measuring technology advice to the respective customer in complex geometric analyses and for review of the measurement results with the customer
• finally, you will be in charge of preparation of the measurement results for decision-making for further circles in coordination with the participating specialist departments involving central departments, plants, technologies and suppliers and as the basis for the quality indicators.

What do you bring?

• Bachelor / Master degree in the field of mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering or knowledge acquired in another way.
• Professional experience in the areas of metrology, vehicle analysis, production, development or quality management.
• Experience in explanation and presentation of complex subjects
• English spoken and written (business fluent) and additionally knowledge of German is an advantage
• Confident behavior
• Negotiation skills
