The BMW management board funded in 2021 the program SOFTWARE FACTORY (SWF) that bundles initiatives to professionalize inhouse vehicle software development processes, methods, and tools. We focus on initiatives regarding software architecture, integration and release, software validation, and software quality. Hence working with us means to set the base for state-of-the-art software processes, methods, and tool solutions within BMW, that meet current and future software development demands.
What awaits you?
- You will be responsible for budgetary, procedural, and organizational aspects of the program in close collaboration with SWF’s Program Lead.
- Additionally, you will be responsible for committee management as well as for the templates of the regular upper management reports and the collecting of all necessary input on time.
- The program’s governance framework including time plan, risk management and reporting based on the various products, components, suppliers as well as the compliance to the program milestones are part of you field of activity.
- You work in close collaboration with our Practice Leads and Initiative Leads to continuously improve and develop the program strategy, portfolio, content and resources.
- Thereby you will also help to foster Customer Relationship Management, steer and track program-wide topics, set the base for program internal as well as internal and external workshops and organize all BMW internal public relations as well as marketing output.
- Finally, you will take care of the financial forecasts and the real-time foresight into project resourcing and guide all program members through all budgetary issues in strong collaboration with our financial departments.
What should you bring along?
- Master’s degree in economics, business informatics or any similar qualification.
- At least 5 years of working experience in program/project management and optionally product management and/or finance.
- Expert knowledge of agile working tools (Jira, Confluence etc.) as well as a good understanding of programming.
- Professional knowledge of MS Office, especially in Excel.
- Fluent in English and German language.
