Description

We are looking for a project lead for the real-time operating system within the BMW head unit program.

 

What awaits you?

  • You are responsible for the delivery of the IO-controller Software according to functional, quality and timeline requirements.
  • Additionally, you are responsible for technically correct implementation and integration of the RTOS SW stack on the IO-Controller within the head-unit platform.
  • Therefore, you are in regular contact with the project leads of all functional domains requiring RTOS implementations (Display & Graphics Infrastructure, Network, Lifecycle & Power management, Log & Trace, Health, System Functions).
  • Your product enables safety relevant applications such as displaying instrument cluster information. The IO controller connects the head unit via CAN to the vehicle board net and various displays via APIX.
  • You are part of an international head unit development team working across multiple companies.
  • You report to the overall BMW Head unit Software project lead.

 

What should you bring along?

  • University degree in electrical engineering, software/IT, sciences or a comparable qualification.
  • At least 5 years work experience in developing commercial software solutions.
  • Experience with embedded RTOS software development, either on system or on applicational level.
  • Strong background with real-time operating systems such as Autosar/QNX.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive software development processes (esp. integration and defect work).
  • Experience in supplier management and willingness for occasional travel (max. 10%).
  • Business-fluent English and good German.
