Senior Corporate Compliance & Ethics Specialist
The Senior Corporate Compliance & Ethics Specialist protects the integrity of US BMW Group companies; their assets, customers, employees, and reputation. The selected candidate is responsible to manage, implement, administer, and continually enhance the Compliance Management System (“CMS”); develops and employs preventive, detective, and responsive actions to Compliance topics and violations
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Development
- Develop and implement strategies for all activities relating to standards of conduct and ethical relationships with employees, customers, contractors, suppliers, and communities within which covered US BMW Group companies operate
- Manage covered US BMW Group companies compliance systems BENEFITS, BRC, CAPTAIN, COACH, COBRA, COMET, TRUST, and others; continually market their importance and promote their use
- Conduct internal reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance and ethics efforts; identify deficiencies and corrective actions
- Coordinate with subject-matter experts on covered US BMW Group companies’ risk assessment programs to assess, prioritize, and manage legal and regulatory Compliance risks
- Implement and monitor activities relating to standards of conduct and ethical relationships
Advise on the development of compliance and ethics risk management exercises; contribute to preemptive and preventive corporate studies and analyses
Communication and Training
- Participate in the design and implementation of effective communication strategies on compliance and ethics standards to all employees
- Participate in the design and implementation of effective employee education and training initiatives on compliance and ethics standards to all employees
- Construct, develop and maintain the internal compliance website on InfoNet
- Track, manage, and report organizational progress on mandatory compliance training courses across the covered US BMW Group companies; acts as the “voice” of mandatory Compliance training company wide
Corporate Policy Management
- Co-author corporate policies with responsible business owners; maintains content modification authority
- Support corporate policy owners and coordinates timely policy updates; ensure content continuity and accuracy according to company standards
- Manage and maintain the local repository of corporate policies; identifiy opportunities to enhance the policy framework and employee awareness
- Provide expert advice and interpretation of the code-of-conduct and compliance expectations, including applicability of corporate policies, where required, etc.
- Consult with corporate audit, finance, human resources, and the legal divisions on the application, interpretation, and enforcement of corporate policies
- Design and communicate governance and corporate policy modifications to impacted areas through various communication channels (i.e., e-mail, job aids, and Intranet)
Whistle-blowing Channel Management
- Manage the local ethics and central SpeakUp hotlines
- Manage casework distribution and monitor progress of investigations. Summarize content, ensuring accuracy and timely responses to informants
- Provide analysis and contextual awareness for management to make appropriate decisions in sensitive compliance and ethics matters
- Implement actions required to resolve work-related issues identified from the hotlines and other employee information gathering efforts
- Define and develop approaches to solutions; assist with the overall implementation of actions required to resolve employee-identified issues
Manages Ethics and Compliance Projects
- As a result of assessments and audits, address areas that could potentially impact business results and expose the US BMW Group companies to additional governance and compliance risks. Participate and supports, or lead if requested, projects, programs, and initiatives as needed
- Prepare and deliver training, as requested, to implement and educate the business on updated or new instructions, policies and US BMW Group
- Governance topics, including the BMW Group tools BENEFITS, BRC, CAPTAIN, COACH, COBRA, COMET, TRUST, and others
- Prepare and communicate Governance, Policy and Procedural changes to impacted areas through various communication channels (i.e., email, job aids, and Intranet)
- Lead project efforts to ensure covered US BMW Group companies fulfill the requirements of BMW

The pay range for this role is: $86,084.00-$101,275.00.
The selected candidate’s education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Demonstrated formal corporate compliance or legal experience
- 3+ years related work experience in human resources, finance, internal audit, legal, compliance or corporate security
Preferences:
- 5+ years of specific corporate compliance or legal experience
- 3+years of disciplinary management experience
- Experience in corporate compliance forensics
- Familiarity with corporate governance and ethics
- Familiarity with financial services
- Knowledge of US BMW Group corporate strategies, policies, standards, and practices
