Intern, BOBCAT Initiative Management Office
This is a full-time internship position for our Spring Rotation, expected to start January 8, 2024 through May 31, 2024 in Columbus, Ohio.
The intern will support the Initiative Management Office (IMO) with utilization of all necessary project management tools and concepts, eg. project planning, Kanban board management, communication plans, training plans, etc. While on the job they will have the opportunity to improve their technical skills by working with MS Office tools, JIRA, and Confluence. The intern will also get hands-on experience with Project Management, real-time problem solving, and organizing of meetings and workshops.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the identification of open topics (list of open points) and tasks
- Assign resource accountabilities for delivery
- Hold assigned task owners accountable for delivery with high quality on time and on budget
- Escalate any delivery risks to Initiative Leadership or Workstream Leads
- Support the maintenance of the initiative slide master, detailed project plan, and milestone synchronization plan across all aspects of the initiative
- Support the preparation of project working sessions, sounding boards, steering committees and document results/taking minutes

The hourly rate for Undergraduate students is $20.00.
The hourly rate for Graduate students is $24.44.
The selected student's academic level will be used to determine the final pay rate. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
- Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of application
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university
- Field of study: Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Finance or Accounting
- Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international students only)
- Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript
- Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week)
- Classroom or working experience with the fundamentals of project management, process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma), and/or AGILE working models
Preferences:
- Previous internships (in IT projects preferred)
