Alphabet (GB) Ltd. as a leading provider of Business Mobility Services is also located in Farnborough.  We decided in November 2020 to bring together BMW Financial Services and Alphabet to stay relevant to our customers and continue to succeed in a rapidly changing business environment.

We have an exciting opportunity for a confident and eager to learn individual to join our Experiential Events Marketing Team. ‘Make every second count’ for our fans and customers is our aim, creating experiences around the brand that tell a story. As we look to continue setting new experience benchmarks, our Experiential Events and Sports Marketing Interns will be key and valued members, being directly involved in a wide range of Events and Marketing activities to develop your skills throughout your time with us. 

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the delivery of effective event, partnership, and sponsorship solutions in line with the BMW Marketing plan to support the brand and its sales objectives.
  • Supporting the development and planning of experiential event activities as required, including project managing bespoke elements to ensure professional planning and execution of all experiential activities. 
  • Supporting the day-to-day liaison with a number of key agencies and suppliers to deliver events to the agreed plan. 
  • Assisting with the communication and amplification of experiential activities working closely with the Marketing Communications Team.
  • Supporting the delivery of key events and sponsorship engagements through local activation, communications strategy, and operational execution within the Golfsport and Partnerships topics. Previous events have included BMW PGA Championship, GQ Heroes and Company Car in Action.

Qualifications and Experience

·       Studying towards a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies, Events Management, Marketing, or a related field and on track to achieve at least a 2:2.

·       A good understanding of Microsoft platforms; ideally Excel and PowerPoint.

·       A demonstrable project management ability including planning and organisation skills would be advantageous but are not essential.

·       An ability to meet deadlines, make decisions, and use your initiative.

·       Outstanding attention to detail.

·       Strong presentation skills

·       A motivated perspective for working within the industry.

·       The ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve organisational goals alongside personal.

·       The ability to think creatively, analytically, and strategically.

·       Be able to build relationships to collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders within the organisation including a variety of levels of seniority within the business, alongside brand teams to ensure activity is integrated across channels (content, digital, social, PR) and consistent with the business’ overall marketing plan.

·       A good understanding of marketing principles.

·       An interest in the automotive industry, Golfsport and Partnerships and an understanding of working in a premium brand environment would be advantageous.

·       A full UK Driving Licence is essential.
