Description

This is a co-op position which requires three alternating rotations (e. g. 1st rotation: Fall, 2nd rotation: Spring, 3rd rotation: summer).

Work with a technical planning team to support the planning and installation of equipment and structure as required for new model integration, refurbishment, and continuous improvement projects. Projects will range from small upgrade and improvement projects (change management) to new model projects. Other tasks may include, but not limited to: design, project management, digitalization and scanning, CAD, simulations, programming, etc.

 

The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

·       Support planning and installation topics.o   Manage contractors to maintain schedule.o   Technical verification of installation.o   Creation of bid documents.·       Develop scope of work for mechanical or controls projects. o   Small projects they can lead.o   Work with team to develop larger scope projects (new model).·       Support with managing contractors and oversee installation.·       Small support projects for innovation and manufacturing improvements. 
Qualifications
·       Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering·       Willingness to learn.·       Team player mindset.·       Self-driven to push projects and tasks forward.·       Good Communication skills. ·       Problem Solving / Analytical skills.·       Organized and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.·       MS Office knowledge required. ·       Basic CAD knowledge (preferred 3D).·       Preferred but not mandatory: Excel macro, Sharepoint, Apex, etc 

•    Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
•    Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
•    Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
•    Ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for Co-op positions. 
•    Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
•    Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
•    MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. 
•    Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. 
•    THE WORK TERM DATES ARE May 20th-August 9th 2024
