Physical Logistics Operational Support Intern (Summer 2024)

Description

Project Support for Production Waste Logistics, Sustainability & Recycling

·       Waste Logistics Sustainability Strategy Realization (BMW Group and Plant Strategy contributor)

·       Support creation of programs or tools to improve recycling, reduce waste and increase re-use at the plant level.

·       Project support for expansion projects and Lithium-Ion battery strategies for transport and disposal

·           Waste Logistics Sustainability Strategy, specific focus Lithium-Ion Battery disposal and processes.·           Support for plant expansion projects
Qualifications

Business, Finance, Logistics/Supply-chain-related, I.T. or Industrial Engineering or Relations degree preferred.

Interest in Environmental, Equipment, or Maintenance activities is a plus

  • Data management skills – Advanced Excel Preferred. Experience with Power BI or Sharepoint desired, but not mandatory
  •  Presentation experience – Basic to Intermediate Powerpoint required

Project management and communication skills will be necessary, as well as the ability to collaborate and develop strategic overview and plans.

  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for Co-op positions.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  •   MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  •   Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE (May 20th-August 9th 2024 ).
