BMW Ireland, Dublin - Sales Support - 13 Month Placement (July 2024)

We are looking for a confident and eager to learn individual to join our BMW Sales Team, responsible for delivering and coordinating the BMW Group Ireland sales strategy and objectives. As a student on placement in our small and friendly team, you’ll be a key and valued member from day one, supporting the retailer network in the sales area of their business to assist growth and achieve joint objectives.

What will you be doing?

On a daily basis you’ll be involved in the following:

  • Supporting the fleet management process.
  • Supporting the Hire Drive (HD) process.
  • Corporate Sales administration.
  • Cost centre management and administration.

Additional tasks involve:

  • Liaising with the National Fleet Manager to order internal fleet cars in line with demands to achieve high residual values when sold as used cars.
  • Fleet Admin which includes registration, taxing, invoicing, and utilising the Government Revenue Online Services system.
  • Liaising with the Corporate Manager to order HD cars in line with the spec matrix and HD company demands.
  • Liaising with our Financial Services team for HD discount levels and details required for HD agreements with HD companies.
  • HD admin which includes registration, invoicing, and coordinating the preparation and delivery of the HD fleet.
  • Managing the HD return process. This includes following up with Corporate Managers and HD companies for delayed return cars.
  • Liaising with direct corporate customers to order cars in line with their requirements.
  • Ensuring accurate invoicing and coordination of deliveries to direct corporate customers.
  • Corporate Admin including invoicing, coordinating preparation, and the delivery of fleet vehicles. This will include answering any queries.
  • Liaising, coordinating, and directing key fleet suppliers on all required fleet activities and tasks.
  • Acting as the purchase requisitioner for Fleet, Corporate, and BMWi cost centres. This includes raising purchase order numbers, goods receipting, and approving invoices.
Qualifications

Qualifications and experience

  • Studying towards a bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Marketing, or a related field and on track to achieve at least a 2:2.
  • Any Marketing or Automotive experience is advantageous, but not essential.
  • IT literate, including a good understanding of Microsoft Office programmes including PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build working relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Be able to work under pressure.
