We plan, design and produce interior surface components using a variety of materials and finishes. Throughout the process, we combine craftsmanship with technology to exacting standards. It is our attention to detail that produces world-class interiors.
We are looking for one undergraduate to do a 13 month placement. You will gain practical knowledge of robust quality tools and techniques as well as develop an insight into how an international corporate business functions.
What will you be doing?
Understanding and use of core 7 Tools of Quality.
Support identification of process improvement opportunities via various forms of data analysis.
Support implementation of process improvements via structured problem-solving activities.
Support the implementation of changes throughout the Wood Technology.
Support development of quality standards and processes.
Support the development and integration of new wood parts, features and processes, utilizing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodology.
Support the design, ordering and validation of complex metrology fixtures and checking aids.
Preparation and presentation of Quality reports delivered to various levels of the business up to and including Plant Director.
Studying a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in an Engineering course.
Any knowledge in Wood Technology or similar would be an advantage, however not a requirement.
Able to work independently and collaborate within the team.
Use your own initiative to take projects and tasks from concept through to a complete and implemented solution.
