Sr. Risk Controlling Analyst

 As the Sr Risk Controlling Analyst, you will be responsible for critically reviewing and analyzing risk models developed by Risk Management to ensure they are accurately calculated and comply with BMW Group policy. You will be responsible for the preparation of internal risk reporting and the application of the risk models to the portfolio. As a key function of this role, you will balance both risk alignment and the financial needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.In this role, you will be a member of the Risk Controlling team, who builds, services, and drives efficiency by effectively controlling the risk chain, from data integrity to reporting. You will validate Standard Risk Costs and Risk Parameters versus Actuals, assessing whether previously calculated parameters are appropriate, and reconciling any variances. You will also act as the first point of contact for internal and external auditor and regulatory bodies to effectively manage and mitigate risk. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Preferred area of study: Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• 5-7 years Financial Services experience
• 3-5 years Financial Services consumer compliance monitoring, auditing, or examination experience
• 2-3 years risk management experience or similarly based role in Finance or IT
• 2-3 years working with tools for data acquisition, analysis, and reporting, including use on large relational databases (SAS experience is a plus)

Preferences:

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (some knowledge of Access is preferred)
• Excellent data manipulation and modeling skills
• Ability to convert complex financials into easily understandable key point summaries
