It is important to us that each and every person is proud of their achievements and identifies with their job and their team, as such we are looking for a Robot Operator to join our team in the Exterior Surface Centre.  Successful applicants will have knowledge of the following:

• Knowledge of Paint Production Processes within any industry
• Daily completion of TPM tasks and corresponding paperwork
• Experience with ABB robotics equipment is desirable
• ABB IRC5 Operator Training or equivalent is also desirable
• Knowledge of COSHH
• Able to Work within a multi-functional team
• Basic Problem solving and logic fault finding skills using all diagnostic tools, fault logs / pendants etc
• Knowledge of Risk Assessments
• Pro-active approach to quality improvement on a daily basis
• Willingness to learn
• Carry out stripping, cleaning, inspection and rebuilding of all robot application hardware
• Proactive approach to reading and using technical manuals to understand operation of robot equipment
• Escalate any negative trends or issues to relevant department (e.g. Maint, Proc. Eng, PS, PL)
• Monitor robot programs and highlight any process improvements (time, quality)
• Ensuring all production readiness activities are completed at beginning / end of shift (cleaning, checks, etc)
• Consumable stock control and ordering (bell discs, aircaps, robot covers etc)
• Conduct robot flow checks as per weekly schedule
• Conduct CC K factor checks on a monthly basis
• Conduct mix ratio checks and deliver to lab on a weekly basis
• Conduct booth condition monitoring checks every shift
• Testing of DCL fluid and replacing as required, according to specification
• Ensure robot hardware is delivered to lab for weekly inspection
• Ensure robot hardware assignment is monitored and adhered to
• Conduct thorough inspection of body and robot after program error / trip to ensure no damage to either has occurred whilst painting the internal areas of the body
