Welding Engineer Senior Specialist

As a Joining Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for the second-level and third-level trouble shooting and technical supporting to achieve the agreed targets of plant technologies. Management and completion of cold joining technologies focused on sealing-gluing technology or Bolting technology and all maintenance related activities.  

Also responsible for all delegated technology related topics and budget planning for the relevant department. Standby support to production lines and Joining issues within the scope of responsibility, focus on the production, including 2nd and 3rd shift or weekends when requested.

Furthermore, optimizing of cold joining processes, sealing-gluing applications or bolting applications based on process audits, VPS requirements, equipment changes due to standard changes or area improvements, availability studies and production process changes. 

Implementation of new processes e.g., new equipment, ECP (new material), document changes, joining technology programming, modify, improve, first commissioning.

-    Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field. 
-    3+ years of experience in Joining technologies in automotive industry.
-    Knowledge of cold joining technologies incl. robots, vision systems, Sealing-Gluing-foaming applications,safety equipment, SCADA systems.
-    Knowledge in process technologies / Joining technologies: Spot welding, Laser, MAG/MIG.
-    Sealing/Gluing experience joints and processes; including QUISS vision systems or another vision system to monitoring application. 
-    Fluent business English.
