International Intern Division Steering and Communication (Fall 2023)

The MN-12 International Intern will support supplier network Americas Steering and Communication function and  implementation of outside view ideas to support continuous improvement

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

• MN Strategy Support: independently conceptualize, design, and implement a MN strategy project (i.e. Sustainability)
• MN Communication Support: Supplier Events and presentation support various MN-circles & forums

 

Assignment Development Plan: List any understanding, skills, and abilities the student will gain in this assignment.

• Knowledge of international Supply Chain
• Understanding the processes around the steering of the Supplier Network Americas
• Understanding the complexity of supplying parts in the global network
• Knowledge of the manufacturing process and quality targets for automotive.
• Project management
• Working in a complex and diverse environment
• MN Strategy 2025 projects, possibly from the following pillars: Sustainability, Stakeholder Analysis, People, Leadership & Management

• Enrolled in college program with major in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field
• Good organization and project management skills
• Good communication and presentation skills in English and preferably German
• Analytical, solution-oriented mindset
• Successful completion of previous internship/working student assignment within the BMW group (3-month period minimum).
• Current enrollment in Master program outside of the US or enrolled in the last semester of a Bachelor program outside of the US.
• Equivalent of  3.0 GPA.
• Must provide the following paperwork in English:
