International Intern Packaging Planning (Fall 2023)
The Packaging Planning Intern will work with Packaging Planning Team. The intern will support BMW Packaging Planners with daily activities improving and maintaining existing products in existing production areas, as well as assist with analysis of packaging concepts/options for future models. Support of 3D-Print Lab / Additive Manufacturing in creation and processing of models.
The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
- Support in analysis of existing packaging (steel and non-steel) for optimizations to reduce environmental impact, logistics costs, or for communizing across multiple product lines.
- General support for Packaging Planners on modifications, identification projects and modification of existing packaging.
- Support Additive Manufacturing team with 3D Print projects.
- Pursuing a degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics.
- SAP knowledge (preferred).
- German and/or Spanish language skills (preferred).
- Logistics knowledge (preferred).
- Additive manufacturing knowledge (preferred).
- Fall Rotation Dates: 9/18/2023-3/15/2024.
