Material Control Specialist Intern (Fall 2023)

Description

Support Launch Project Leads and Material Planners with projects, reporting, and any additional tasks.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

  • Launch Packaging availability, reporting and tracking

  • Launch KPI updates and improvement: “Versorgungsgrad” (coverage rate) T-Cars; Aged stock; On-time delivery; adherence to standards

  • (SPAB) standard production-synchronous retrieval  T-Car Part availability updates and improvement work (PKG)  Process parameters to ensure part availability

  • Launch Excellence Project to ensure better inventory accuracy, stock adjustments, and part delivery/return process

  • Preparation of transition SharePoint and improvement in handover process to series

  • Improvement in part transition process to series warehouse. Ensuring data quality (first SOP, PKG rounding value, etc.).

  • Preparation for new models project and support for project leads per above KPIs.

Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will have completed (or will be an upperclassman by credit hours) a degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field with a GPA of 3.4 or above (preferred).  Candidate must have strong interpersonal and technical skills (experience using Power BI, SQL, Data Lake, etc. is a bonus)  
  • Microsoft Excel (experience with VLookup, Macros, etc. preferred)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Organized
  • Effective communication skills
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. 
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. 
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE August 14th - December 15th, 2023
