Cubing Measuring Co-op (Fall 2023)

This is a co-op position which requires three alternating rotations (e.g. 1st rotation: Spring, 2nd rotation: Fall, 3rd rotation: Summer). 

 

The Prüfcubing Process Co-op process uses a specially machined car body to evaluate the buildability, geometric fit, function and overall maturity of interior and exterior parts during and after a new model launch.  The Prüfcubing is a highly visible part of a new model launch and works together with several departments including Development, Assembly and Supplier Quality.

 

The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the in the following functions: 

• Preparing Parts and Tooling for the Day’s Build.
• Validating the quality level of the parts delivered for the Cubing Loop.
• Clear and Concise documentation of the defects found during the Cubing loop.
• Containment tracking for critical defects found during the cubing loop. 
• Vehicle fastener commonization project.
• Pruefcubing parts inventory system project.
• Pruefcubing event dashboard project.
• Pruefcubing event livestreaming project.
• Pruefcubing event problem documentation automation.

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Good Communication and technical writing skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint..
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• German Language skills (preferred).
• Experience with CAD Software (preferred).
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
• Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
• Ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for co-op positions. 
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
• Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
• MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. 
• Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. 
• THE WORK TERM DATES ARE August 14th- December 15th, 2023.
