International Intern Supply Chain Quality Vehicle Launch Support (Fall 2023)

Description

The Supply Chain Quality Vehicle Launch Support Intern Support the daily activities of QMT Front Desk (Supplier Quality Containment).  Student will support Quality Specialists by improving the transparency and prioritizing of daily quality landscape.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

  • Monitoring of relevant KPIs
  • Further development of reporting tools
  • Tracking of upcoming builds
  • Quality status from 
  • Assist Department Improvement Initiatives
  • Assist in facilitation of meetings.  i.e daily new model meetings, KPI meetings, etc.
  • Support department specialists in pre-series containments 
  • Steering your collaborative partners
  • Plan and implement projects and tasks related to assignment from department Management.
  • qCAT (Supplier Quality Tracking System) Lessons Learned Implementation.
  • Developing tools used for reporting (MS Applications, Qlik, Oracle, APEX, Power BI or others)
  • Dashboard Optimizations
Qualifications
  • Pursuing degree in Engineering or Business Degree with Supply Chain Management or Operations focus (ME, EE, IE, BS).
  • Successful completion of previous internship/working student assignment within the BMW group (3-month period minimum).
  • Current enrollment in Master program outside of the US or enrolled in the last semester of a Bachelor program outside of the US.
  • Equivalent of 3.0 GPA.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
  • Must provide the following paperwork in English:

    • Relevant references and certificates
  • Fall Rotation Dates: 9/18/2023-3/15/2024
