Regional Financial Steering Co-op (Summer 2023)
This is a co-op position which requires three alternating rotations (e. g. 1st rotation: spring, 2nd rotation: fall, 3rd rotation: summer).
The Regional Financial Steering Co-op within the International Regional Financial Steering Department of to learn BMW financial processes in order to help steer the internal departments and drive efficiencies and cost saving measures. They will provide an environment of learning and training that fosters growth and experience for the selected candidate while simultaneously assisting the company to achieve internal goals, targets, and KPIs throughout the international region.
The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
- Department wide Purchase Requisition Review, Analysis, Tracking and Steering.
- Department wide SharePoint Requisition Review, Analysis, Tracking and Steering.
- Assist with monthly reporting, presentations, and account analysis.
- Support by creating efficiencies and digitalization with current financial processes.
- Create training documentation of current financial Process.
- Pursuing degree in Finance/Computer Science/Business/Accounting preferred.
- Must have the ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate to multiple levels of management.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have excellent Microsoft Products skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, be able to create Excel PivotCharts, Indexing, Matching and IF statements.
- Strong understanding of MS Excel PowerQuery. (preferred)
- Computer programming skills such as, the ability to create intermediate to advanced DAX calculations using functions such as Calculate, Summarize and Filter. Experience in PowerBI, QlikSense and/or Tableau (preferred)
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
- Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
- Ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for co-op positions.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
- MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
- THE WORK TERM DATES ARE May 8th, 2023 to August 11th, 2023.
