Our Summit ONE in Farnborough is home to the National Sales Company for the BMW Group in the UK, as well as BMW Group Financial Services which offers retailers, corporate, and private customers a range of customised financial services. Alphabet (GB) Ltd. as a leading provider of Business Mobility Services is also located in Farnborough. We decided in November 2020 to bring together BMW Financial Services and Alphabet to stay relevant to our customers and continue to succeed in a rapidly changing business environment.

Passionate about all things marketing, digital, communications, and branding related, our successful candidate will be highly organised, confident, and eager to learn. The CRM Marketing function is responsible for the delivery, management, and ongoing optimisation of the core customer communication programmes along with brand and model support activities as part of the end-to-end BMW customer and prospect journey.
As our CRM Student, you will support the Manager and Executive in developing national CRM campaigns and programmes that deliver loyalty and conquest metrics for BMW UK. You will be a key and valued member of the team, gaining hands-on experience by developing and managing high-level marketing campaigns and programmes that sit across digital and offline channels, some of which include direct email programmes that support the BMW customer journey, and Social Media and Digital Display advertising campaigns that are designed to acquire new customers.
What will you be doing?
Managing and developing the BMW Engagement programme – BMW News is the cornerstone of our customer engagement efforts; an email programme that features the latest BMW news on technology, innovations, new models, services, and much more, with this all being personalised to each individual.
Supporting the CRM Manager and Executive with delivering various ‘always-on’ CRM programmes, model launch campaigns, and digital advertising campaigns across Social Media, Digital Display, and Affiliate channels.
Supporting data capture at BMW Events including the BMW PGA, Goodwood Festival of Speed, and Frieze Art Fair – formulating methods and initiatives that can help us acquire new customers from new audiences.
Managing a wide range of marketing agencies – working collaboratively with our agency partners across CRM, Data, Creative, Digital Media, Retailer, and Events disciplines to help deliver a range of projects and initiatives.
Working with central colleagues in BMW AG (Munich) to help with campaign development and reporting insights.
Working closely with a wide range of internal BMW UK colleagues across a range of different departments such as Sales, Aftersales, MINI, Financial Services, and other areas of the BMW Marketing team to deliver collaborative projects and campaigns.
Managing CRM finances – ensuring that our budget is accurately tracked and both suppliers and partners are paid on time.
Supporting the management of the industry-first loyalty rewards programme for BMW Corporate drivers, with rewards from brands such as Costa Coffee, Nonna Tonda, and Lucky Saint.
Qualifications and experience
Studying towards a bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Marketing, or a related field and on track to achieve at least a 2:2.
An experienced user of Microsoft Office products such as PowerPoint and Excel.
Creative and brand literate; able to manage and motivate creative agencies.
Good project management skills, being able to ensure the timely delivery of multiple projects.
Strong analytical skills. This includes being able to question information to identify cause and effect, following this up by delivering attractive and progressive solutions or improvements.
Personable, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
An analytical mindset.
An interest and understanding of digital technologies and consumer behaviour are essential.
A UK driver's license would be beneficial but is not essential.
