Tax Specialist (f/m/x)

We are currently looking for a Tax Specialist (f/m/x) to join our Finance team in Debrecen. In this position you will be responsible for performing tax calculation and tax accounting transactions according to global guidelines along with local legislations.

What awaits you?

• Taking part in tax calculation and tax reporting processes, ensuring compliance with the Hungarian statutory, fiscal regulations and corporate policies of BMW Group (actual taxes and deferred taxes).
• Ensuring end-to-end VAT compliance, including participation in VAT return preparation and other VAT related reports based on SAP ERP system.
• Preparation of tax related reports according to local law requirements. Supporting tax audits, ensuring of internal and external control processes (tax risk management).
• Reviewing periodic tax returns and ensure their timely submissions with all necessary due payments.
• Testing and implementing of tax compliance processes especially in the area of ​​indirect taxes for the entire physical and non-physical value-added chain (including components, vehicles, services etc.).

What should you bring along?

• University degree in Economics and Tax Advisor Certification (Registration and / or Tax Expert qualification is an advantage) and a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in similar job field in an international company (manufacturing background would be an advantage).
• Professional knowledge of relevant Hungarian Tax legislation, focusing VAT & CIT (Experience with Wage Tax/Benefit in Kind Taxation would be an advantage).
• Confident user of MS Office especially Excel; SAP FI module experience is appreciated (S/4 Hana knowledge is an advantage).
• Strong communication skills, along with independent, reliable and result-oriented way of working.
• Fluent English and Hungarian both written and spoken, German language would be an advantage.
