BMW Group Financial Services Canada, located in Richmond Hill, is offering an internship within its Compliance Department. The successful candidate will be actively supporting the National Manager, Compliance, in the development, implementation and maintenance of the local Compliance Management System in accordance with relevant internal and external compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support maintenance of an effective Compliance Management System (CMS) meeting all internal and external compliance requirements.
- Manage and update the Compliance pages for the Associate Intranet.
- Support the operation of the Corporate Governance Framework: policies & procedures oversight, and committee management.
- Support monitoring & testing of compliance related controls.
- Support regular compliance communication and awareness campaigns towards associates.
- Support implementation of compliance processes and tools.
- Support regular and ad-hoc compliance reporting to local management and central functions.
- Support compliance related projects as needed.
- Support maintenance of a Vendor Management Program in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Support and participate in presentations and training sessions
- This position may take on additional duties and responsibilities, should the need arises.
Qualifications:
- Completed a post-secondary degree or diploma with a focus on business
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Well-developed oral and written communications skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
