We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the area of Passive Safety - AI for Restraint Systems Development .

 

What awaits you?

  • In your internship you will be in a diverse team of engineers, developers, and students.
  • You will use finite element crash models to validate and optimize restraint systems.
  • Furthermore, you will process the results of these simulations using programming languages.
  • These simulation results must then be compared with hardware test data.
  • Artificial intelligence should be utilized to approximate and accelerate results which enables further analysis.

 

What should you bring along? 

  • Student in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Mechanics, Mathematics, or a comparable course of studies.
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis, e.g. working experience using LS-Dyna or Abaqus FEA, is an advantage.
  • Skills in artificial intelligence are preferred.
  • Experience in working with Python, MATLAB, or other programming languages.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
