Controls Co-op (Summer 2025)

Description
The Controls Engineer Co-op will assist assisting TX-211 with the daily operations of managing Controls initiatives and driving continual improvement of PLC related topics within the Body Shop.
The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
- This will be a developmental role where the Coop will spend a large portion of their time learning how to write, read and changing PLC code to support continuous improvement projects related to Controls
- Learning how to write, read and change PLC code to support continuous improvement projects related to Controls.
- Changing PLC code to support SAS revision rollout and cleanup of faults generated by the new SAS revision.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- Basic Electrical trouble shooting skill.
- Knowledge of PLC coding.
- MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
- Problem Solving skills.
- Ability to train others.
- Project leadership skills.
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
- Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
- Must commit to three co-op rotations.
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
- MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
